Each theme-based art camp will be taught live from 1:00 to 2:30 PM Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. The first camp starts on June 28th, 2021. The last camp starts on August 9th, 2021.

Each week, a new art program will introduce teen artists to the techniques of painting and drawing in the form of stimulating practice, teach them professional techniques, and engage their mind in learning,  to help them build confidence and encourage them to apply their imagination.

Designed by Olya Losina, a professional artist and co-founder of Prima Materia, these programs will help young students build artistic skills, fuel their love for art, open their minds to how to use ordinary art materials in new ways, and express themselves in a variety of styles. Participants will learn how to see and think like an artist and will have a blast making serious art.

These weekly Summer Art Programs at Prima Materia Art Institute are led by Ms. Nikusha Beatty, professional artist, teacher, history-fashion-music-language-design enthusiast, who has taught hundreds of beginners and advanced artists to paint, draw and speak about art. Each weekly program will be packed with learning new tips and unusual art projects that participants will be able to take to completion. With thorough instructions, demonstrations, and step-by-step guidance, teens will produce professional-quality artwork.

Each online camp can be done with the supplies you already own. A list of art materials will be available if you need to purchase more supplies. All the art supplies can be ordered online through the link provided, scroll down to view.

All the pieces created during the program will be displayed in the online exhibition with an art reception on Friday evening at the end of each week, and parents, family members, and friends are invited to view the work and enjoy critique and discussion.

Throughout the week, participants will receive tips on how to talk about their work and the techniques they practiced in the art program. It will be a great way to conclude the hard work they put into their drawings and paintings.
