Fractured Landscape in Two Steps Strategy

You can use the supplies you already own. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Primed canvas roll, 12oz, 100% cotton - you will need 2 yards and pushpins.
Matte latex paint in pints or acrylic paint (no oil paint please)
Set of bristle brushes- bristle filberts and flats, as well as bristle house-painting brushes. Synthetic hair OK ‍
Willow charcoal
Dowel (approx. length 40-60”) to make an extension for sketching with charcoal
Masking tape (any type is fine) - for taping charcoal to the dowel, taping palette down, etc
Masking tape (1/2" width)- for the project
Palette paper
Cup for water for washing brushes
Cotton rags for painting with
Gloves in your size
Clothes you don't mind getting paint on

You will need an area that you can make large art in. You also want to protect walls and floors if necessary. You can use newspapers, or plastic sheet, or dropcloth, to protect your space.

When working with unstretched canvas, if you're painting:

on an easel, you'll need a large support board and clamps
on the wall, you'll need push pins (we recommend colorful pushpins because they're easier to see if they are dropped or fall)
