- 15 primered canvas sheets, 8x10” or 9x12”
- 1 canvas 18x24” or 30x40”
- Palette for color-mixing
- Brushes of the two kinds:
- Bristle paint brushes in various sizes (large and small)
- Pointy, hair paint brushes in various sizes (soft hair preferred)
- Sketchbook for recording the steps, taking notes, and composing.
- Rags or high-quality paper towelsÂ
- Optional but highly recommended: Masterson Palette Holder with airtight lid, to preserve your pigments and color-mixtures for the entire 5 weeks.
- Charcoal or 4B pencil for sketching
- Free-standing easel or table easelÂ
- Oils or acrylics. Special combination of transparent and opaque pigments:
- Titanium white,
- Zinc white,
- Mars black,
- Alizarin crimson,
- Burnt sienna,
- Raw sienna,
- Burnt umber,
- Naphthol red,
- Quinacridone magenta,
- Lemon yellow,
- Cobalt blue
- Disposable gloves - must have, not optional!
- Cup with water - for acrylics; airtight container with linseed oil - for oils.Â

Please note:Â
- acrylic paints will require an extender and a mist bottle.
- Oil paints will require 2 solvents (not for mixing together): linseed oil and odorless turpenoid. Also 2 small jars with an airtight lid for solvents
