Step by Step Portraiture for Beginners

Gouache set*
Bristle paint brushes, variety of sizes
Cold Press Watercolor paper, 9x12" or smaller (you can also cut large sheets into smaller sizes)
Cup for water
Palette paper
Paper towels
Mist bottle for keeping your mixtures moist
Clothes you don't mind getting paint on
Charcoal or pencil for sketching
Sketch pad, pencil, and eraser for notes and sketching
Gloves in your size
Apron or clothes you don't mind getting paint on
Optional supplies: Masterson airtight palette holder (New Masteron palettes come with 5 sheets of palette paper)

*An alternative to gouache is tempera. We only recommend Blick Premium Tempera, no other brand is suitable - not even Blick Student Tempera or Blick Essential Tempera.
