This is a new project that has never been offered before. It will require some fashion sense, creativity, love for designs and textiles, and willingness to stretch the boundaries of art. This project is not about making clothes - it’s art. We’re using fashion as a muse to create phenomenal paintings.

Two large canvases will become a stage for your personal catwalk with multiple figures. Between paintings, you will create a massive number of sketches and studies of your own fashions (using your sketchbook) - you don’t need to have any experience. Regardless if you are into fashion design or not, this is an opportunity to break out of your comfort zone and enter a completely new territory as a creative.

The beginning of your large-scale fashion figures will start with resourcing materials: from cardboard, string, paints, and paper to upcycling clothes, beads, and more. This mixed media approach allows you to form the unusual garments directly on canvas.

Olya’s principle of teaching artists is radically unconventional. Her approach helps the student open the mind to breaking the stereotypes of thinking; that’s how she converts every student into a creator of striking and passionate contemporary art.

The objective of this 4-week course (8 lessons) is artistic expansion, creation of two large paintings suitable for a portfolio submission or gallery application, and liberation of your artistic spirit.

All students, beginner through experienced, are qualified, because the only criteria for participation is your DESIRE to create art and be free with it.
