Are you ready to take your art beyond the studio and into the professional art world? This course is designed for artists who want to break into juried shows, win competitions, and attract gallery representation—but aren’t sure where to start.

You’ll learn what curators, jurors, and gallerists look for in a standout piece—what makes artwork not only skillful but unforgettable. Through guided projects and expert insights, you'll refine your technique, develop a distinctive artistic voice, and create portfolio-worthy pieces that command attention.

Olya Losina will review your favorite pieces that are potential submissions. Each artist will have their own direction - this will allow you to be able submit to the same venues as other students and still be seen as individual artists.

At the start of the course, you'll bring in artwork you’re considering for submission. Whether it’s nearly finished or still in the idea stage, Olya Losina will help you assess its potential and guide you in elevating it to a professional level. Together, you’ll refine, rework, or even reimagine your pieces to make sure they’re strong contenders for exhibition. If you have a concept that feels compelling but isn’t quite working yet—technically or conceptually—Olya will help you bring it to life. With decades of experience and a long track record of student success in juried shows (many of whom won awards), Olya will support you in transforming your work into something unforgettable.

Each artist will have their own direction—allowing you to submit to the same venues as your classmates while standing out with your unique artistic voice.

Each month, new juried show opportunities are introduced, giving you the chance to submit work and gain real-world experience. Whether you’re building your first professional portfolio or strengthening an existing one, this course will give you the tools and confidence to take the next step in your artistic career.

Bring a sketchbook to record ideas and insights. We’ll discuss art materials in the first session, and you’ll start working with the mediums you’re most comfortable with—expanding as needed to enhance your creative impact.

If your goal is to see your work in galleries, win competitions, and establish yourself as an artist, this course will help you get there. Let’s turn your ambition into achievement!
