Valentina lives in Brazil. Thanks to the online format of the Portfolio Program, Valentina was able to create a portfolio for one of the best art schools in the world, UAL. While US schools typically require 10-20 pieces in a portfolio, European universities encourage 50 works or more: they truly want to see all aspects of the applicant’s qualifications. The standard rule is that after the live interview, the applicant is notified within two weeks with a letter of acceptance or rejection. Valentina’s portfolio impressed the Admissions so much that they made an exception for her and announced her acceptance on the spot, during the interview. Valentina did not expect being accepted to the top school of her dreams and was planning to apply to six more universities. When she found out that the college of her dreams accepted her, she had no need to apply to any more. Valentina’s family was celebrating her success for three consecutive days!
